Best Place To Take A Girl Who Doesn't Know Pattaya

Featured Replies

I have a girl coming to see me tomorrow. I'd like to stay away from the seedy parts of town, so guess North Pattaya is a good option for us to go in the evening, but where in North Pattaya would you suggest? There are quite a few decent venues at that end of town and would like to hear your opinions on which would be most suitable. Preferably it would be quite lively whilst not being so loud that you can't hold a conversation, and with no ladies of the night plying their trade there.

Thanks guys.

Moonriver Pub would be a good choice........live band but not too noisy and decent pub atmosphere.

khun pun pub on soi 2 live band great atmosphere, mainly thai.

The Beat down soi 4 just before the beach road nice comfortable sofa's good music thats not too loud but the drinks are expensive, you can take your own whisky though and then buy the mixers and ice, they also do food but I haven't tried that

I second The Moon River pub. Perhaps a meal first, a bit further down across the Rd. at The Thai House restaurant.

I used to go to the Hopf Brewhouse on Beach Road and you can get to it without seeing too much seedy stuff...

Tv screens show Mr Bean which is good if she can't speak much english, then the band start and are pleasantly not too loud or intrusive apart from when the owner does his excellent opera bit!

Always liked the resident band in the Hopf Brewhouse. The no smoking is a bit of a pain if you do smoke. I wish they would put some cushions on them wooden seats.

when the owner does his excellent opera bit!

Is he the owner ? He does the best Freddy Mercury (Queen) i have ever seen, or heard. Excellent .

Have you been to Differ, pub on the beach on the soi opposite Big C, in regent marina hotel soi?

That's a cool place

Ended up going to the Moon River Pub, but as she was 6 hours late didn't arrive 'til 23:00. Nice set up in there, good music about the right sound level, not bad food, and what seemed like a decent clientele. Only problem was that there wasn't that many people there. Maybe we got there a bit late, or it could have been because it was a sunday, but most probably due to the high season being over. Either way, I still enjoyed it, so thanks for the suggestions people. :o

I may have missed you then... I think we left at about 23:00.

I was there with 2 guys (falung) and 2 girls (Thai)... we were sitting in the middle of the pub, dead centre, 2nd table back from the dance floor.

Sounds like you had a good night.

As you said, the band was OK (Phillipines), and the sound level was bearable... at least you could have a conversation. :o
