Non Immigrant Ed Visa

Featured Replies

Are there any schools in phuket where I can learn thai which are aproved by

the government and thus qualify to get myself a non immigrant ED visa if I

follow the course at their school ?

There are several language schools in Phuket claiming they are certified, - if you just do a google search with the words phuket+ language+school. The problem is that some of them haven't been here so long time, and could move quick to a new location or just disappear. A very good friend of mine tried a school in Patong, filled out all the papers and paid the school fee in order to get the papers stampet by the ministry of education. Nothing happend within the promised month, and after six weeks the place was empty and the cell phone turned off.

If I were to study thai in Phuket, I would at least like to talk with some of the students and see them actually come to school and get education. Because some of the schools would very much like to sell you just the ED visa part and then no education. But then you probably would get in trouble when you have to report to immigration every 90 days, and they would like to talk thai with you.

pm me; I'm here under the circumstances you mentioned, and would very much recommend the place I'm doing my Thai language course at here in Chalong. Don't want to get in strife here mentioning a business name.
