October 19, 200916 yr Does anyone know how eary before a one year extension is due that Samui Immigration will accept application? I would like to do mine early but calling the office yields a perpetual busy signal. Has anyone extended early and, if so, how early?
October 19, 200916 yr Last month of extension is the norm. You'll get your "under consideration" stamp for 30 days, so if you come earlier it gets complicated. I was told to come 4 days before my extension expired. They really don't like you to come on busy days (Monday, Friday and after holidays) One thing strange happened when I got my extension. I asked to make my 90-day report same time. I was told that he had done it for me already.
October 20, 200916 yr Author Yes, mine says Thai husband. Last year I went 6 days early and it was fine. My understanding is that normal procedure for all offices is 2 weeks but I know better than to assume just because one office allows two weeks that they all will. On an afterthought, has anyone ever gotten through on the phone???

October 20, 200916 yr Usually within the last 30 days is normal. Most offices will do earlier if you ask.
October 20, 200916 yr I've extended my yearly visa 30 days before expiration for the past three years, SBK.
