Body Hydration / Body Fat Scale

Featured Replies

I would like to buy a body fat / body hydration scale that could be shipped to Ratchaburi Province. Does anyone have a recommendation? I found a "Shaper" brand at Big C, but there was no warranty mentioned, and two of three they had on the shelf looked like they had been returned. I tried one and it didn't work. I tried a second one, and it did work. So if I don't get any better ideas, I guess I will take a chance with that one.

Thank you.

How do you know the second one is accurate?

OP:

Are you talking about "calipers?" Calipers have "prongs" basically and you can measure body fat %, using them.

Thanks for both answers. The accuracy question is a good one. There are plenty of precautions on the Internet that these impedance-measuring devices are very imprecise, but they can offer relative results if carefully used. I have read about calipers, but I wanted something simpler. I am starting a detoxing water fast tomorrow, so I wanted to monitor weight, body fat, and hydration.

As it turns out, one of the popular brands is Tanita, and I found, through an office in Hong Kong, that they actually have an office in Bangkok. When I spoke to them, they referred me to Robinson's Department Store in Ratchaburi, which I rushed to and purchased a scale. What a nice surprise. They only carried one model, which I appreciated since it took away the need for a decision on which model to get. I believe they have a more extensive selection in Bangkok if anyone wanted a selection. The one I bought is consistent with itself, so it is just what I was looking for.

Thanks again for the replies.
