Hello all,

Has anyone any experience of doing the Thai language as an educational course (I mean as a qualification, I hope this makes sense, I mean as a formal course with a qualification attached as opposed to learning purely to use).

I have done internet searches and found degree courses in SE Asia studies with Thai language and once spoke to someone who had done such a degree. There is so many search possibilities on the internet it is hard to find the information I am looking for with : UK,Thai language degree.

Would just be interested to know, especially if it is possible to study Thai outside of a formal college.university but work on a criteria towards some form of recognised standard.

Thank you everybody. :o

If you're in the UK then, yes, SOAS, which is an adjunct of the Univ. of London does a degree-level course.

Scouse.

:o Thanks everybody, looks like all courses are full-time degrees, was hoping for a course where I could study Thai whilst working towards a qualification but I suppose really the true mark is for me just to keep learning and improving my Thai.
