Electric Blankets

Featured Replies

Now that the colder weather is upon us, I was wondering if anybody has seen electric blankets for sale in Chiang Mai. It's not for me, it's for her indoors....

Cheers :)

It's for her indoors? Is that a riddle?

Seriously now, considering how cheesy electrical items are made here, and with no regard to safety, I think something like that would be a ticking time bomb. What a scary thought!

don't want to be "elektrified" in my sleep

Elektrified, you're obviously a 'septic'. 'her indoors' is english slang for the wife.

I don't think that anybody would be daft enough to buy an electric blanket sourced from China. The blankets in the UK have a cut off switch when a certain temperature is reached and thus are very safe to use.

Cheers :)

My thoughts exactly.. If it's electrical and made in Thailand or China then I don't want it. Especially not fairly high Wattage stuff in direct contact with my body. :)

Sorry, that one's not in my British slang dictionary. I wasn't talking about electric blankets from China. I meant Thailand. For safety's sake, buy one from the U.K. on-line or get a friend over there to purchase one and have it shipped to you here.

Cheers

If they are sold her there are those that would buy. Then we could have the BLANKET POLICE. :)
