Private Tutors/home Schooling

Featured Replies

Does anyone know if there are tutors avilable for eg who can teach "normal" subjects to a 7 year old instead of sending him to an International school.... whilst he gets into the whole "Thai language thing"

OR alternatively - does anyone do the "home schooling" thing???

Home tutors are relatively available in most parts of Thailand. Tell us where you live, so we can point you in the right direction.

We not there yet.... trying to find somewhere close to Amata Nakorn - and there are no Int schools that close, so thats why i figured might try the home tutoring option.... all depending on what that would cost tho???

Any ideas? Would it compare to be cheaper or more expensive than International Schools?

Try Googling

Bangkok Homeschooling

Enigma Insitute

Thai Home School Association

I had links but they don't work now.

Why do you think he needs to 'get into the whole Thai language thing?' Are you planning to send him to a Thai school?

Thanks PattayaParent - i will google the links....

I would like him to be able to understand the "average" person on the street - and maybe even send him to a bilingual school... an extra language is good for them (he already understands 2 - speaking mainly English). Also - if there are kids his age in our neigborhood, might be good for him to be able to communicate to them in their language also?

LOL maybe i am thinking wrong here, but thats just my opinion.
