Health Insurance For Partner And Child

Featured Replies

I'm doing the rounds again for health insurance for my partner and child (2 years old). I do mine separately (at least for the moment). I'll send an email to TVI but I'm interested in what other guys are using. Some links to policy benefits would be great if you have them. Otherwise some names and I'll google.

I'd be interested in opinions as well and how people balanced the premiums versus benefits argument. Stories of what people did wrong also welcomed and why people changed providers.

Ideally, the policy would provide benefits free at the time of use rather than worrying that they will be stuck on a trolley while someone tries to figure out if there is insurance or whether bills will be paid ? No problem in providing the cash first but that proof will not always be there at the second it is required.

Not looking for second class insurance because she is Thai but no need for western country insurance at the moment. Just looking for sufficient benefits with a good price.

If all you need is health insurance and or personal accident insurance, try any of the following,

Siam Commercial Bank

Siam City Bank

Tesco/Lotus also offer insurance.

From what I remember prices start about 7,000 baht per year for basic and up to 14,000.

Also saw an advert on television recently, AIA were offering insurance for 17 baht per day, think the phone number was 02 900 9214, didnt really pay too much attention so cant offer any more details.
