john1216 Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 Hi to all here. i'm new on this forum but came in samui for a long time already/ I want to buy a nice house here in samui and after a lot of time and reflexion, i'm on the way to buy one in a nice looking residence in Banrak, named Dreamland Properties.Does anybody here has good or bad feelings or experiences with this company? Are they ok ? Thanks for sharing your point of view.Regards.John.
Oak Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 This is obviously a gated estate. What are the charges & costs for services such as water & electricity?Maintenance charges for communal areas, security, staff ????????????????????
Rooo Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 I have my doubts about this topic. Will give it a few more hours & see what develops.
john1216 Posted December 15, 2009 Author Posted December 15, 2009 This is obviously a gated estate. What are the charges & costs for services such as water & electricity?Maintenance charges for communal areas, security, staff ???????????????????? Yes indeed, its gated and very secured, but I have seen a few other developments and this seems serious. Regarding the charges, they are, comparatively reasonable. My worries are that thy were so many people reporting bad experiences on Samui property buying that I would like to know if one of you guys heard more about them, in good, or specially in bad before committing my hard-earned money... Thks for feedbak
john1216 Posted December 15, 2009 Author Posted December 15, 2009 Is the project ready or only on paper? Its already 3/4 build and sold, but I am interested in one of their house ready to move in. The problem is that most of of their existing customers come only for holidays, so I cant really knock doors and speak with first hand knowledge people

If the house is already built, I suppose you will get some legal people of your own to check into it too.
NHJ Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 i did visit some friends living in dreamland property, let us know what exactly you wanna know and you'll get answers for sure.

You want to move into a construction project? I'm trying to remember where this place is. I know other folks who lived in these sort of farang developments, and there are too many rules for my liking. One didn't allow pets, your house colour had to be the same as others, restrictions on many things. Check the details.

Personally speaking i would'nt buy a home here until my first requirement was met. A completed project and not a building site. After all the problems of the recent past are people still really doing this. If so, they must need their heads looking into!
PoorSucker Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 Check out the pictures on this site: http://cocoinvestor.org/ They have many 3/4 houses there.

If the house is already built, I suppose you will get some legal people of your own to check into it too. I can sure check the building quality and make due diligence on the legal side. My concern is that since its a residence, i want to know if those people are serious regarding the maintenance, if they take care of their clients once its sold, ect. In short, if they are serious in the long run or if they are giving headache to their residents once the sale is made.

I understand your point, but a finished development is most of the time an already sold-out development. In this one, over 20 houses are build, only 7 plots of land is not yet build. but all roads, infrastructure, management in done. Furthermore, the house I am interested is not close to one of those not-yet-build plots
