Thailand Gps Sim Card

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Rather than buying something we really wouldn't use very often, I was wondering if anyone has a Sim card for Thailand (we already have a Garmin GPS) that we could rent for January?

If you go to nearest 12call that sells Simcard for 300 bath , I mean there is maybe someone that will give it away but renting Thats a god one.

:)

Yes, i have a sim card that you can rent, and it's only 400 baht a month :)

I don't know much about mobiles since I don't use one but they give the SIM cards away for free at 7-11. My g/f gets them all the time. They are for True Mobile. If you are on True you can call other True users for free. Her relatives all call each other with them.

Sorry I just asked her about the SIM cards. I was wrong. They are not free. They cost 1 Baht!

I don't mean a cell phone sim card; I need a GPS card, you know so it will work in our Garmin and show us all the maps and stuff...

SIM cards are for phones.. GPS units use maps. You'd need to buy a map for Thailand to use with it. (Check Garmin website)

I should have checked with my husband before making this post. What we need is an SD card containing the Garmin maps of Thailand for our NOUVI 205W GPS unit. We just want to rent one for the month of January. Sorry for the confusion! Mods, can you change my title? Thanks!

They are $150.00 US on the Garmin Web Site..... If you find one, my friend and I will take it off your hands when I get there in Feb.... PM me if you find anything. :)
