dom samui Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 This morning from 00.35 to 02.30 on Tv5 we were supposed to look at a nice documentary about the Crazy Horse Cabaret in Paris. I'm really wondering about what happened with the thai Censorship on Sat TV truevision .... When looking TV5 connected on Samui cable tv no problem. But when looking at TV5 connected on the Sat directly from Truevision ,the only thing we can see for 2 hours was a pink screen with :INTERMISSION/PROGRAMMING WILL RETURN SHORTLY - And you know why ? Some nice breast on the screen !!! Did you experinced the same on others channels and why censored with direct sat and not censored with samuicable tv ??? This is the link of truevision website : http://www.truevisionstv.com/trueworld.asp...pk=2&mode=3 This is from the TV5 website : At the end they recommend for Spectators over 10 years old. Dom,Deleted program description. If you can give us a translation that would be great. Thank you. Rooo.
lazygourmet Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 TV5 is as crap as Crazy Horse... As well, the most glamour (sic!) of French cabarets, they smoked better weed than I when they wrote this nonsense cover report! Otherwise, if you really missed your "Reveillon Parisien", it's available on their website
dom samui Posted January 1, 2010 Author Posted January 1, 2010 Thank's for your answers ! My question is : Why censored with direct sat and not censored with samuicable tv ???
Phil Conners Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 True/UBC is a big Bangkok based company with a large exposure. They can't bend the rules as easy as a small local operation in Samui who probably get the TV5 feed from some other satellite.

screamingeagle Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 I've noticed these short intermissions too. I believe it's because the programming is beamed to both Thailand and Singapore. But there are different commercials showing in each country so they blank out Singaporean adverts. A few nights ago the start of an advert for Martell Cognac (about 3 seconds) was shown before the intermission screen came on. The bloke who presses the intermssion screen button must have dozed off!
Tanaka Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 Usually during an Alcohol Commercial. So the conclusion is that they deem tits as dangerous to public health as alcohol? That is comforting.
screamingeagle Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 I love watching horror movies on Thai TV. Blood, guts and gore everywhere but the cigarette is blurred out...
Prasert Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 TV5 on Samui cable is probably from the Intelsat7/10 satellite, just like the M-Net channels on cable. These channels are from the MultiChoice package....(so not exactly legal what Samui CableTV is doing, but who cares)
