Road Traffic Accident 7th Jan Thep Krrasattri

Featured Replies

a road traffic accident happened on trep krrasattri phuket on the 7th jan at about 74am as i was on my way to the airport. i cant find any news articles about the accident involving a lorry or truck and a bike. it appeared that the child that was on the bike with his parent was unconscious and would be great if anyone could tell me if the child was ok. me and my girlfriend witnessed after the accident and would be greatful for any information as this was a very sad thing to witness.

thanks dazz1973

It might be the same that I read in one of the English newspapers from Bangkok. They reported that a woman and a 2-year-old child were in an accident. The woman was admitted to hospital. Sadly, the child died. Sorry, I can't recall if the woman was a mother, aunt, or care-giver.

R.I.P. - should never have happened, but these things do.

The accident you are talking about happened in Pattaya. Very sad story.

yes the accident im refering to was with an older child and was in phuket not pattaya. there was a man carring the child, child was maybe 4-7 years old. i dont think i could see all the way to pattaya from the motorway in phuket.

I wonder if they ever caught the lorry driver after he did a runner. (Presumably he did, as they all do)

This accident happened, and 2 people lost their life.

The man who was driving the car (drunk) and the woman who was driving the motorbike.

The little lady (5 years old) didn't have anything serious. She end up on the road side next to the rubber trees.

The woman which was driving the motorbike ended up between a wall and a second car which was involve as well in the accident.

The woman was a teacher for the kids of Nai Yang. The ceremony at the temple finished today at Nai Yang Temple.

The drunk driver was from Hat Yai.

The above is correct, she was one of my boy's teachers at the pre-primary and I've known her these past 2 years. She'll be sadly missed in the community.
