My situation is this -

I have 2x entry tourist visa, and used up the 2nd entry on 17 Jan, and am permitted to stay until 17 Mar

I will fly to KL on 5th March, hence still have 12days left on my visa, plus a 30day extension

Am I correct in thinking that I could apply for a 're-entry permit' that would mean, I can go to KL, and return and still have the

12days +30day extension left on my visa?

If so, how do I go about applying for one, how long does it take, and how much?

I am near Chiang Mai Immigration

Thanks in advance,

A re-entry permit would allow you to return before the 17th to stay until the 17th. It would not add any time to that date - but would allow you to use the extension of stay for 30 days if your return it prior to the 17th.

You apply at local immigration office and normally takes less than an hour.
