Las year my local ofice accepted 6 weeks ut they no longer do extensions

Will have to go to Mae Sai

Have tried calling but of course no one will commit

I see from goverment website 2 months first time and 3 months renewal is this current practice at Mae Sai especially

Plan B is try and get completely new one in one day in Perth non O multi entry

I will be there on 8th of April and psiibly Brisbane on 18th of May

Apart from thA$225 my wife in person her housebook any other requirements bankbook (certain amount?)

If I do this should I still get a re-entry as existing visa has months to go and new one will start on entry probably late august after present one expires

OR WILL A NEW o overide the present visa.Ive asked local expats but like methe ever changong rules and interpretaions means there are as many asnswers and peole in the club

Yes, at some immigration offices they require 3 months for further extensions. You can always get a 60 day extension based on having a Thai wife and after that apply for a 1 year extension if you qualify.

If you apply for a new visa, it will automatically cancel your current visa. If you are on an extension of stay, leaving without a re-entry permit will cancel your permission to stay. Requiring you to get a new visa.

For Perth and Brisbane the wedding certificate and a simple note from the wife asking for a visa for you and a copy of her ID card will be enough.

A multiple entry visa always starts from the day of issue, so apply as late as possible.
