Dear All,

I have read lot of threads but still confused, hence asking again here on Feb 22, 2010.

I came to Thailand on June 21, 2010 with 3 months NON-B Single Entry 2800 INR VISA.

My Employer got it renewed and issued WP till 18 SEP 2010.

Later my wife also joined me on Nov 2, 2009 and we got her dependent VISA extended to same as my date i.e 18 SEP 2010.

Now i resigned on Feb 15 and last day wud be Mar 15 or Mar 19.

Please suggest which date i should get tickets, same as my last day or i can leave Thailand with in 2-3 days. I donot wish to pay anything etc..

Do they check any documents at immigration when i go back next month.

Please responsd

Correct, you and your wife will have to leave Thailand the day your employment ends. You can get a 7 day extension for 1,900 baht.

If you do not leave Thailand on that day you are on overstay and would need to pay 500 baht per day, with a maximum of 20,000 baht (per person).

I presume you mean 2009.

Your extension of stay is terminated when your employer inform labour department that your not longer working for him.

You can get 7 days extension at immigrations for 1900 baht.

His permission to stay ends the day his work ends regardless of any notification or not. The next day is overstay if he does not visit Immigration for 7 day extensions. But it is likely not to be noticed if he is planning an exit shortly after under current standards of communications. But that could have changed yesterday or tomorrow so it is best to leave the day the word ends or obtain a short extension of stay to pack out.
