Hi all

I recently changed my Tourist double entry visa to a non IM "0" at Chiang Mai Immigration office using the form handed to me i think it said application to change visa type.

The above was done to eventually apply for the extension of stay based on retirement.

My question is

The immigration guy said come back after 2 months (Leaving one more month of the Non IM"0" still in force) and apply for the extension of stay.

Do i have to wait for that two month period or can i apply sooner ?

Regards

You should wait as your were told. Normally they want you to apply during the last 30 days of your permitted to stay stamp.

If you have travel take that proof with you and they may allow you to do early - but if no special reason just do during last 30 days.
