As you drive into Ban Chang from Sattahip you come to an archway over the road. At the center of the arch are the pictures of the King and Queen. There are also two dragons (I think they are called Nagas).

What makes this unusual for me is the two White Rabbits that are also on the arch. Does anybody know the significance of the rabbits.

the king was born in the year of the rabbit (chinese horoscope)

you often see rabbits used symbolically to denote his majesty as in this example

Now i know, i wonder how many locals know?

When i read the title of this post i thought you were refering to wild rabbits, because i've seen a few and I have a thai mate who goes rabbit shooting out the back of bang chang. The ones i have seen are grey so it makes me wonder how long the rabbits have to be feral before they lose thier markings? I know with pigs it's only a couple months or something before they start to grow bristles and tusks.
