Are Things Open On Monday As Normal?

Featured Replies

A friend is thinking about visiting from The capital on monday but is worried everything will be closed due to the Holiday. Does anyone have any information on bar closures etc?

Monday is a government, and Buddhist, holiday. Government offices are closed. Not sure about the alcohol situation, but my guess is that sales are banned for at least one day...

My guess would be bars shut Sunday and open Monday...........Govt offices/banks as Ajarn states.

Last year bars seemed to close for the one day (the holy day, sunday), but the correct doctrine is not to drink alcohol for 3 days. Whatever, there were lots of bars open in Pattaya, but without lights on. :o

I'm out in Pattaya tonight and I'm pretty sure they'll be something open somewhere or at least they'll be open after midnight.
