Forwarding Emails

Featured Replies

When i try to forward a email using firefox the message screen comes up blank with no message to forward.

If i switch to IE the message comes up when i forward it and it works fine.

The only answer i got on the computer forum was someone with the same problem as me.

Does anyone else have this problem and know how to fix it.

I have had this problem too when using hotmail, however by going back and hitting reply again the message comes up. Maybe it is a speed problem, or something else. But you are not alone.

which web e-mail service are you using? (gmail/yahoo/hotmail)

do you use an add blocker? e.g. Add Block Plus?? Try white listing the site you are using and see if your performance improves.

This is a known bug in Firefox version 3.6 and newer with Hotmail and some others. They haven't fixed it yet. You can try using an older version of FF. Also switching to plain text from rich text seems to lesson the problem. I have gotten in the habit of copying text before I reply or forward an email.

It might be a good idea to use a useful email provider like gmail with IMAP on a Thunderbird portable. You can put the software on a USB-Stick and use it from any internet cafe or wherever. And you will not have the forwarding problem. If you want to keep your email locally, use POP/SMTP instead of IMAP.

I got all excited today when FF auto-updated with v.3.6.2 and I got Hotmail emails to forward and reply OK. Just tried again now and we are back to the blank email. :)

Have you tried using chrome ? Faster and nicer to use IMO.

Yeah chrome was OK. Not different enough to warrant a change now that I know my way around FF somewhat. Incidentally, emails are forwarding and replying ok again.

I have the same problem of a blank page coming up when i hit the foreword button in hotmail and have now switched to gmail to see if that sorts the problem out.

I use CometBird but might change to FF and see if that cures the problems with hotmail.

Hello!

I do not know what system you are using, but I think Windows???

If this is correct, you may try the help support center-then you came to a technician and he will guide you through all what you need to do-it take some time, but it is great-try it!!
