I heard at least 5 loud bangs this morning a few minutes before 5am. Sounded like small explosions rather than gunfire, but I'm no expert. Was there another incident, or was it just Don Pasquale making a 4am booty call?

Start of a funeral ceremony somewhere? Very loud fireworks are common for those. Is there's 5 bangs together it's got to be fireworks of some kind or another.

Not at 5am and can have any number of "odd" number bangs going off. Both seven and nine are very auspicious numbers.

By this point, if no one else heard anything, I guess I can chalk it up to the pre-dawn spirits. I had forgotten to mention that I live near Fa Ham and the noise came from direction of the city.
