If I was to become the legal guardian of my wife's 6 yr old daughter.

I've heard of people living on Non-O visas due to their infant child legally supporting them.

Anybody know what the financial requirements are?

Thanks.

Are you talking about getting a visa or an extension of stay?

The documents seem to be for an extension of stay. The income requirement is the same as for marriage: 40,000 a month income OR 400,000 in the bank for 2 months.

There is no such provision. The current requirements is below:

Edit: If you are only talking about a 90 day non immigrant O visa entry there is no set financial requirement - only that you are the father listed on birth certificate. But a TM.7 is never used for a visa.

It is not about support. For a visa, it is about visiting your child. For an extension of stay it is about living with your child.
