Golfing In Bangkok

Hi there...

I think I'm not the only one who is alone in Thailand with all my golf buddies back home. I've been staying in Bangkok for the passed 6 months. Only visited the driving range here. Well, anyone interested to play some golf for fun? Some details below:-

Ethnicity : Asian Chinese (from Malaysia)

Age : Early 30's (played with people of all ages before...it really doesn't matter)

Language : English (Excellent), Malay (Good), Cantonese (Excellent), Mandarin (Fair) and Thai (Fair)

Handicap : 24 (on good days mid 90's...averagely around 100). Just another weekend golfer...nothing serious.

Location : Bangkok. Have car and can drive to meet anywhere (within 50km should be ok).

Time : Prefer Weekdays (cheaper green fees). Should be ok with any day but need to know 3 days in advance.

Well, anyone interested please join in. Maybe we can create a weekly schedule so that anyone can join in whenever they're free. I do not know any nice and cheap courses around Bangkok. If you know any, please recommend a few (hopefully within 50km distance from Bangkok town). Doesn't have to be a pro's location...just for the fun of golfing.

Btw...I prefer not to involve $$$. It's just for the fun of playing golf. So to all the pros...I'm sorry, there's no quick buck here but if you wanna have fun, make some friends or even guide some newbies with your free time...you're welcome to do so. Also, this is not an opportunity for meeting new people to sell something. No business talks...just pure fun and enjoyable golf.

Hi Eddie,

Very interested but weekdays are tough cos of work schedules.

Some courses I frequent...

1. Dynasty (Bang Len)

2. Pinehurst

3. Lum Luk Kar

4. Thanya Thani

5. Thai Country Club (imho, BEST in the World but hella' expensive)

There are probably cheaper ones around but I look for those with a club house where you can change in comfort after a day out in the sun!

Cheap in the week and good facilities but still not too much of a challenge for the high handicapper, would recommed both Bangpakong Riverside and Royal Lakeside, both about 50 mins travel, nice wide fairways, interesting courses, do good deals through the week, good facilities
