The fat removal procedure is called liposuction. All the main hopsitals do it and, while like any surgical procedure it is not without risks, the risks are fairly small if done in a proper hospital provided she is in otherwise good health, not diabetic etc.

Do not under any circumstances let her go to a bargain-rate "clinic", there have indeed been deaths in Thailand from unscrupulous people providing such "discount" surgery. Go to a proper hospital.

Since cost is a concern I suggest investigating Sikarn Hospital in Bang Na. Consultations are free and many of the surgeons speak English. Last time I checked, they charghed about 50,000 baht per location for the liposuction (upper and lower abdomen are considered 2 separate sites). I don't know the cost for blepharoplasty, which is the procedure for bags under the eyes. But all in all, costs there are quite competititve.

I agree she needs to go to a decent place (maybe 3) for a free consultation(s). I could be way off here but it may not be liposuction she needs. I am thinking she may want a tummy tuck which is more about getting rid of excess skin and scars from c-sections as opposed to sucking fat out of the body. I believe a tummy tuck would be more than liposuction since it is more complicated and requires general anesthesia.

As for the Tattoo removal ... she should really shop around and find people who have had good success with large tattoos and find out where they went. Tattoo removal is going to require numerous visits and is painful. It can also result in more scaring and there is no guarantee of success.

So, it is really important to find a good place to do this and ask lots of questions such as which procedure should be done first.

The eye surgery sounds very reasonable but again would talk to people who have had it done. We have all seen the plastic looking faces from bad surgery.

Just a thought if you think she looks fine now ... You may also consider reassuring your wife that you love the way she looks now and help her feel better about herself and her body. Not sure of her age but sounds like she may be adjusting to getting older. Get her to buy a sexy new dress and take her out to a club and remind her how beautiful she is ... whatever will help her to know she is still attractive.

The one thing that sticks in my head is the comment she made about 50/50 she could die from the surgery. Why would she say this? It sounds like she wants to be talked out of it by your reassurance that she is being silly and worrying too much and that she is beautiful and perfect just the way she is. As well as you not thinking it worth even a 1% chance of her dying over such a silly worry. Since she is Thai, I just wouldn't mention money being a factor in your thoughts of why she should not do this. :)
