June 4, 200520 yr No way! Living in with the Thai people is not just about their Buddhist beliefs, there's a much deeper (and sometimes simpler) culture that I like in Thailand that does not seem to be present in Malaysia or Vietnam... and I have lived and worked in those countries too. Thailand does it for me. I also reckon the food is better here too. Taoism: shit happens Buddhism: if shit happens, it isn't really shit Islam: if shit happens, it is the will of Allah Catholicism: if shit happens, you deserve it Judaism: why does this shit always happen to us? Atheism: I don't believe this shit
June 5, 200520 yr Buddhism while not the major religion is fairly dominant in both those countries. So I dont think religion has much to do with anything.....
June 5, 200520 yr Author Buddhism while not the major religion is fairly dominant in both those countries. So I dont think religion has much to do with anything..... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You must be joking! 52% Muslim, 17% Buddhist, 12% Taoist, 8% Christian, 8% Hindu, 2% tribal Some sites put the Muslims at 60% If .My was Buddhist you wouldn't have Muslim morality police raiding bars & discos and beating up the patrons while the reg police looked on......!
June 5, 200520 yr Every Vietnamese I've ever known was a buddhist, except for one catholic who hadn't seen the light yet. I'd most certainly count Vietnam as a buddhist country. That being said, I'd miss the driving here. I'd like playing the old Roadblasters game except I don't have to put in a quarter. cv

I said fairly dominant and not the major religion...your figures support this as it shows Buddhism as the second most prevalent religion in Malaysia....Thanks Next time read the post more carefully before commenting.....
June 5, 200520 yr I would dump any country that didn't suit my requirements for dropping anchor. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Having a sh1t..? totster
June 5, 200520 yr Author Next time read the post more carefully before commenting..... I did, that's why I published those figures. 17% or less is negligble(sp) And on the streets, it looks like the Mozzies are more like 95%. (the perception) That 17%, if true is spread very thinly over the whole country.
