Passport - Can Stamp On Notes Pages?

Recommended Posts

My British passport is nearly full but there are two pages of notes at the front and two at the back that are pretty much a waste of space (especially those at the back). Anyone know if these pages can be used? They don't come cheap, after all.

I've emailed the FCO for an official answer but don't know if they'll reply - and I imagine they'll just say "we don't recommend it but it's up to the immigration officer". In the meantime I wonder if anyone has ever successfully managed to persuade immigration officials to use these pages? They probably won't want to use a chop for reasons of visibility, but don't see why they can't put a full-page sticker there.

My British passport does not have any notes pages, pages 4 to 30 are blank, no message or anything. Only the very last page after the photo pages says official observations.

Incidentally this page has my name on, but my wife's passport, issued exactly the same time, does not. Interesting.
