Moving

Featured Replies

Hi, Im moving to Bangkok from Chiang Mai. I have a bit of stuff to move, not too much. I was going to hire a van and drive it all there but then obviously I'll have to drive it back and then get a bus to bkk.

Does anyone know of any moving companies that can transport my stuff to BKK and save me lots of hassle?

Cheers

Hi,

I have never experienced this here, but did in my home country. Have you checked with the large renting companies such as Hertz, Budget, etc. if they can rent you the vehicle only one way? There would certainly be a surcharge but can save you a lot of troubles.

Good luck and welcome to Bangkok!

Cheers all :)

please can you calm down the streets before i arrive too :D

Have used Budget from Phuket-CM one-way couple times and as I rented over three days there was no surcharge. Not sure if they do that any more, but the surcharge was around 3k.

Just another idea, red taxi with goods to train station, fast, economical and you can travel with your stuff all the way to BKK.

Worked for me.

Yes: 081 9521008, a moving company Chiang Mai to Bangkok :):D

have this company coming round tommorrow, door to door CM - Bkk about 8 boxes 3 bags, 2 desks a fan and a fish tank all for just 4,500 baht.

Hopefully they'll do a good job.

Cheers
