Report Thai Hotels Warn of Job Cuts Amid Proposed Wage Hike
It is BS. Hotel prices in the popular tourist areas are almost western rates. And, they complain about paying these workers $12 a day? Cheap, shameful, and disgusting. -

UK Britain is poised to lose a record 16,500 millionaires in 2025
"Sooner or later, you run out of other people's money" ... part of the reason I left the USA ... 'taxes'. Never minded paying them, but did mind what it was spent on, and who's pockets they were going into. Certainly not the people that needed them. Corrupt bastards, as DOGE pointed out, for the most ignorant to understand. Surely the same in the UK. -

Do u know the difference speaking thai..Laos.. Khmer
Thai and Laos are different languages, as is Khmer, but many are blended together, especially in Isaan and many can understand it. My girlfriend and ex wife are both from Sisaket province, and both understand a little Laos and Khmer. I've heard many words used in both languages, like Xari and Jang for what. It sounds like alai and eeyon. This is what AI says and it's true...........While closely related, Thai and Lao are distinct languages. They belong to the same language family (Tai-Kadai) and are mutually intelligible to a large degree, especially for speakers from the northeastern region of Thailand (Isan) and Laos. However, they have developed unique scripts and subtle differences in vocabulary and pronunciation. -
