May Day Mega Second Hand Sale

Following the success of our Second hand sale last September which raised over 50,000 baht towards the purchase of two Oxymeters for Nathon State Hospital,

The Rotary Club of Koh Samui would like to announce that a May Day Mega Second Hand Sale will be held at Panyadee School on Saturday 1st May from 2.00pm ‘till 5.00pm. Get there early for the best bargains!!!

Once again, the Women’s Business Network (WBN) of Koh Samui is jointly helping to organise the sale.

All proceeds from the sale will be used to fund our various local children’s community projects which in the past have included supplying computers and making repairs to the canteen at Wat Kunaram School, constructing four classroom units at Wat Jaeng School and providing playground equipment for other schools around the island.

Today's the day to pick up a bargain!!!

In spite of the weather, our May Day Mega Second Hand Sale went very well indeed. By the end of the morning, tables at Panyadee School were groaning with a variety of goods, with clothes, books, DVDs and electrical items being in abundance.

Nigel's arrival with his famous BBQs cheered the flagging workers with his burgers and other delicious items, with tasty salads for the discerning palate!

Sadly, the skies darkened and a brisk downpour ensued, which deterred some buyers, but in spite of that, the various stalls were buzzing.

The Club wishes to thank all those involved in the organisation of the sale and thanks especially to those of you who supported us by coming along and buying goods.

The net total raised was 28,000 baht which will be used to help fund our local Rotary community projects.
