Need Walk In Clinic

Featured Replies

For about a week I have been experiencing major diarrhea and occasional stomach pains. I would like to go to a doctor, hospital or clinic on a walk in basis. I don't want a doc that is just going to give me cipro and send me on my way. I think this is more then that. Any recommendations? I am located in the lower Sukhumvit area.

thanks

Mark

I'd head for Bumrungrad and their gastrointestinal unit.

They'll probably go the Cipro route, but they are very much a consumer-oriented place (after all, they want your $$$), so they'll probably be very happy to do more tests on you if that's what you want. Speak up about your preferences.

I recommend Dr. Veerakit Apiratprachasin. Excellent and very easy to talk with.

Against my better judgment I went to Bumrungrad because it is so close and ended up with walking out the door with Cipro. If I don't get better the doc wants to see me again. Of course 50% of the bill was overpriced drugs.

One of the things I keep in mind whenever I go to one of the hospitals here for health care is that I'm paying half to a third (or even less) of what I paid in the States.
