They have transparent coloured ones in the Wararot market. Standard kit for kids on the beach in Australia therse days, on account of the ammount of used hypodermics :)

Brings back memories, I wore those as a kid, every summer at the French beaches... coool...I hadn't thought about them for ages! Haha.. I would wear them again...but not in daily life -grinse-

The Dude wears them in the movie. Actually they were Jeff Bridges own shoes - he kept them after wearing them in White Squall. Most of the clothes were his own duds.
