Baby Food - Which Shop Has Best Selection In Bkk?

Featured Replies

(Have searched a little through the forum, but the posts I've read are from a couple years back)

On our next visit to BKK from the boonies, we hope to stock up on loads of different western type baby foods for the nipper.

Those little jars/tins of stuff, and particularly Farleys Rusks, (or similar make). Think she is fussy like her dad, eats a bit of mushed-up rice then turns her nose up at it. Same with the pulped fresh fruit & veg. Takes a little bit, then content to polish off her formula milk.

The ankle-biter is almost a year old now, and the wife is sure she is getting skinnier.

Last time, we checked out Robinsons and found only a couple of choices, (although better than Tesco and Big C). She didnt seem to enjoy these either, though she was a few months younger then. Even the powdered cereal mix is not to her liking. Is there anywhere else we should look for western baby food stuffs?

Any help moms & pops?

For Heinz baby food, Emporium department store seems to have the broadest selection.

Not much selection in this country. You can find 3-4 Heinz lunch/dinner (just some pasta stuff) and the same quantity cold food ( like apple sauce ). We always made our bags full in Europe, Hong Kong and even Vietnam had much more.

Baby Food is available anywhere. Foodland, Carefour, Lotus, Big C and in much more shops.

We always used Foodland and Carefour. Anyhow, most brands are available in in all mentioned shops.

Best choice, cook fresh food for the baby by yourself.

Of course fresh fruit and veg - but she is not taking (much of) it.

i am not stating there is no baby food available. But what is available, she is fussy with.

Obviously there is a very limited selection of the western tinned/jar stuff. The "Heinz" products bkkjames mentioned is the type i am referring to, and i have seen them in Robinsons, but they only had 2 varieties. The other main item i was searching for was Farleys rusks.

Thanks bkkjames - will take a look in Emporium

Yep, all the rest have it as well but not all types. Emporium has the best selection. About the same price as elsewhere. Tops has the smallest selection.

Agree with the other poster about cooking is better but when you are out and about these lil Heinz jars are convenient.
