Hotel In Patong

Featured Replies

Assuming Patong will be still safe in a few days, I am changing my plans of spending some holidays in Bangkok and have decided to go back to Patong after a few years.

I am looking for a hotel at walking distance from the entertainment area and restaurants as I don't want to bother to haggle with tuk tuk drivers. I don't need a pool nor a SPA but I look for a quiet room with the A/C that doesn't rattle and some space. I am ready to spend 1000-1500 baht a night and I assume that in this period of low season there are some nice places for that range.

I used to go the C&N hotel but I have heard they have increase the rates and the room standard has worsened.

Any suggestions?

To be frank, just 1000-1500 bht to get a fairly good room in Patong is not easy. Perhaps try it on Kata area. IMHO.

you should not recommend Kata, since it will add about 6-800 Baht in spending for Tuk-Tuks on the daily budget... I guess C&N will be quite reasonable during low season (which we have now definitely), but PS2 Hotel might be a good choice, too.

Try the EXpats hotel, you can check it on the internet, very close to Bangla road.

All rooms are in your budget range.

Try the Lamai Hotel. http://lamaihotelphuket.com/

Rooms are good, air-con, big TV, computer and printer and clean and tidy

2 weeks ago I negotiated them down to 600 baht (rack rate was 800)

Sure you will enjoy it there

Apparently the C&N Hotels has opened some new rooms which have had a good review, and I would think you could pretty much negotiate your rate at the mo!!

Plenty of others around in your price range.
