I Need An Apartment To Rent

Featured Replies

I'm looking for a 1 or 2-bed apartment to rent in Sukhumvit or Silom. 3-12 months. Must be modern and at least 50 sq metres. High floor preferable and with a good view. Anyone got one or know of one. Maximum 40,000 baht, but preferably less.

Check out Craig's List. Usually there are many nice places and short term available as well.

I have just the apartment for you and for much less than Bt 40,000. The apartment is located on Onnut(Sukhumvit 77). The name of the apartment complex is Baan Chom Dhao. The complex is only 8 stories and is a very well constructed building. It is located on a dead-end Soi so traffic is kept to a minimum. Basically if you don't live here you have no reason to be here. It is very quiet and secure here. You don't have all the hustle and bustle and noise and pollution that you have on Sukhumvit. But because the BTS is so accessible all of Bangkok is literally at your doorstep. It is only 300 meters from the apartment to Onnut Road. From Onnut road you can easily go to Seacon Square and the Mall Bang Kapi by songthaew for Bt 6. Songthaews also go to Carrefour for 6 Bt. They stop right in front of Carrefour. If you want a Lotus you will have to walk a little. From Carrefour it is about a 500 meter walk to Lotus and the BTS station at Onnut, and from there you can go anywhere. The taxi from here to the BTS is Bt 50 and most places on Sukhumvit are about Bt 100 by taxi.. You are also only 30 minutes from Suvannabhumi Airport. There is a small shop and laundry facilities. There is 24 hour security and all the people here are friendly.

The view from this apartment is fantastic. There are no large buildings next door in any direction. Looking out of the apartment you have fish ponds below you. It is almost like living in the country. The apartment is about 60 square meters. It has a separate bedroom. It also has cooking facilities and a washing machine and hot water. The balcony is 2 meters wide. That is where I spend all my time. It is a corner apartment and you get a very nice breeze. The apartment is renting for Bt 12,000 with a 1 year lease. The electricity is from Bt 2000 to Bt 3000 depending on how much you use the aircon. I only use the aircon in the bedroom. I spend all my time on my balcony reading and watching TV. Because of the breeze the heat is bearable.
