Has anybody heard or read any credible reports about how much damage was inflicted on the BTS/MRT systems. Any predictions on when they will be back in any kind of operation?

Just answered my own question, should have gone to the Bangkok Post website first.

From the Bangkok Post website:

Subway to resume operation Sunday

* Online news: Breakingnews

The MRT has announced on Saturday morning that it will resume subway services on Sunday, from 8am to 8pm.

The MRT will provide subway full scale service as usual on Monday.

BTS said it needs times to assess damage and the system’s readiness for resuming providing services.

The BTS expects it would be able to resume skytrain service of both Silom and Sukhumvit lines on Monday.

Barricade of tires was burned on the rails between Sala Deng and Rajadamri BTS - saw there many people from Siemens and later Few trains passing (Test run?). I was also told that they have to check all stations for bombs and booby traps.
