Need A Picture Of King Naresuan On A Horse

Featured Replies

I need to find a picture or poster of King Naresuan on a horse - ideally in battle. And not from the recent movie.

I looked in a few poster and second-hand book stores in Chatuchak today but no luck. Any ideas where to look in Bangkok or online?

Thanks,

The images on the link posted by Krungbin above are copyrighted and he is a friend of mine. If you intend to use them, please PM me and I will give you his e-mail to request permission.

Alternatively, do a search of google images (you may need someone to type in Thai on the Thailand site for you).

Cheers

"Copyrights" in Thailand?! Do the Thais even know what that is? Thanks mate, I haven't laughed this much in months...

Oh, so we should all just jump on the bandwagon, right ? Its fine for people like you to sit back and nod their heads when the piracy issue is raised. You probably also sympathise with the lost jobs and lost profits for legitimate companies and artists, but when one of us presents an opportunity to actually help someone else walk the walk, you want to roll around laughing.

The OP is not Thai and I know that my friend who took the pics would be overwhelmed if he actually got a polite request to use his work. Repect begets respect and mindsets are changed in small increments; but none of that crossed your mind, did it ?

In my view any commercial use of an image should respect copyright and pay the needed royalties............ If the photographer cane to stay at your hotel or restaurant you would be upset if he left without paying his bill wouldn't you. As far as non commercial use is concerned I am a little more lenient in my views but an acknowledgment at least is in order.

Eating in a restaurant is not the same as using a picture. Value is lost when you eat food. No extra costs are made when you use a picture of someone. So you cant really compare the two.

The restaurant owner is loosing money when you eat his food without paying the photographer is not loosing any money if his picture is used.

Piracy would be a lot less if the prices were not so crazy. Just look at the price of adobe photo shop.
