June 8, 201015 yr Does anyone know where there is going to be a big screen to watch the world cup? I don't just mean a widescreen TV. I mean a BIG screen with lots of people, like what they would have had at Central World.
June 8, 201015 yr At CW. RS supposedly putting on a WC show and broadcasting all games on a big big big big screen.

Go to On Nut Bar and Grill on Suk soi 75/1 Good food and have a very big screen all at reasonable prices. www.onnutgrill.com Great Burgers!
June 9, 201015 yr At CW. RS supposedly putting on a WC show and broadcasting all games on a big big big big screen. AT CW = CENTRAL WORLD? Where, beside the burned-out mall?
June 9, 201015 yr This excellent write-up mentions some places with a big screen: Where to catch all the World Cup action in Bangkok | CNNGo.com
June 9, 201015 yr Yes, it's useful, thanks to ThaiEye but it didn't show the time. Most of the places closing about 1.00 a.m
June 10, 201015 yr Author couldn't figure out the code in the first post but thanks for the help everyone, i think on nut grill is the place for me, nice n local. enjoy the tournament everyone. come on England
June 10, 201015 yr OP asked where to watch on big screen, out of the bars listed on the CNNgo website link above The Sportsman has the biggest screen and is also the only one showing the picture in HD with English commentary. Tom. You may be the only one showing in HD, but you're not the only one with English commentary. The Office on 33 are advertising English commentary also (I get their spam e-mail), as are a number of other bars according to CNNgo.
June 11, 201015 yr It seems RS is serious about what kind of establishment is licensed to show the broadcast. I noticed this sign at lunch today and though I can't read Thai, it looks pretty official. Does this mean they will enforce this if bars (let's say in Soi Cowboy) are showing it via True without this little sign?
June 12, 201015 yr Seems a bit steep to me. Feel sorry for you bar owners it's hard enough as it is! Hope you get plenty in Tom.
June 15, 201015 yr "CW" might stand for Central Chaengwattana. Not sure if it's at all Central shopping malls but Pinklao has a Coke sponsored area out the front showing games on a big screen.
