Oh i should also mention that if you buy in bulk its also cheaper then Thai prices.

I buy Davidoff and pay 650 baht per cartoon, while cartoon of Marlboro is 780

Do not buy cigarettes from street vendors ! Fakes !

LMAO. Ok professor

They are not fake, they are imported from Cambodia where packet of cigs cost 30 baht.so this street sellers make minimum 35 baht per pack because they buy them on the border 4 hours away-no tax.

Just smoke local made Marlboro which burns by it self in less then 3 mins and then Davidoff or Dunhill from Cambodia and see which one is fake.

Marlboro is very common to come by in fakes, but so called original in Thailand are worse then the fakes.

Patpong sellers do not sell Marlboro, they only sell Dunhill, Davidoff, Silk Cut, and one other i think.

All stated are imported from Cambodia and you will find Cambodian gov sticker on them.

i have been buying from them for 7 years and i can assure you all 200% original.

I been smoking Davidoff for 15 years and what they have is real deal from Germany, the ones you can buy in duty free in Thailand while suppose to be original for some reason have a totally different taste.

Would like to point out that the fine for being caught in posession of "legitimate", however, un-taxed cigarettes from Cambodia is 590 Baht per packet.

There have been numerous reports of sting operations in the border market near Aranyaprathet where foreigners have been "caught" with many cartons of ciggies & have had to cough up a heap of cash to get themselves out of trouble.

Beware.

Cigs are already in Bangkok, no need to go to Aranyaprathetrolleyes.gif

Really? because after 7 years of bulk buying i have never been stopped, questioned or arrested.

Just out of curiosity how do you think police would fine you? would they stop you walking on the street and ask to search your bag? or would they stand outside the stall selling the product and wait for someone to buy a cartoon?

And how would they know if you have paid tax at the border or if you have not and where have you purchased in Bangkok or on the border?

Lets just be real clear here, before this discussion gets our of control.

16) Not to post about gambling, betting, pornography, illegal drugs, fake goods/clothing etc and other activities that are officially illegal in Thailand.

Which would also include the discussion of buying illegally imported goods at border towns.

We would not want somebody who has been in Thailand for a relatively short time getting themselves in hot water because somebody on this forum has posted how easy it was to avoid import duties now would we?

Back to the topic at hand. Purchase real Dunhill's in Bkk??
