Hello Isarn dwellers.  Ill be staying in Udon for one night this week and need a nice hotel/room with wireless internet in room.  I stayed in Udon last year at this pretty big hotel figuring it would be ok and I was realy disapointed.... If anyone can suggest a nice enough place that would be great.  Ill probably want to nip out for a beer so close to the bars would be nice but not essentialy. Quality of room is more important.<BR><BR>I did google this but would prefer advice from locals.<BR><BR>Thanks so much 

Try Top Mansion . http://www.udonmap.com/topmansion/ Aircon, Tv, clean, central. Last time I was there 350 baht a night. Wireless Internet is available at 100 baht for a 24 hhour ticket

I would go for the Top mansion also, like you I have stayed at some of the expensive ones in Udon and they are just disappointing. Top Mansion is cheap and cheerful and right next to the bar areas.

There is a new hotel opened in town not been there yet but it is was up on the star rating compared to others but away from the bars etc, cant find the name at the mo sorry.

Ban Chiang and Centra are not worth the money.

Yop Mansion,is TOPS for the money.Call 1 week before staying there.And the location is A plus.It's close to where it's all happening,and about A 3-5 minute walk to the shopping mall.
