Seafood

Featured Replies

hi

anyone got any personal recommendations for some local, non-touristy seafood restaurants on phuket island?

i'm looking for place near the sea that sells really fresh local seafood, great quality and fair prices..thanks you-all!

As Phuket is such a rip off it seems to be difficult to find cheap seafood. One option though is to go to Banzai market, buy your prawns, crab, cockles, musslels etc off the stalls downstairs and then take it upstairs to the food court where, for a small premium one of the kitchens there will cook it for you in the style you want.

A friend of my wifes took us to some big place in Phuket town, hundreds of people, I was the only F. there, we had a big steamed fish, huge pile of clams, curried crab, tom yum taley, some stir fried veggies, bottle of sansom, mixers and 2 cokes.... 1100B. Sorry cant give directions, there were maybe 3 similar places in the area, not on the water though. The Rawai beach area is ok but overpriced.
