Better give them a big breakfast to keep their streangth up gonzo.

Saw a special on Air Asia last night about the unrest in Thailand. It gave both sides however it was weighted to the red shirts side. Could be they are expecting trouble.

Could they be on guard-duty, at the PP-Palace, and you saw the new shift on their way to work ?

well as you guys know , I am usually at the same station every day and it is very rare that I see a troop truck on this road...... with all the traffic on Charoenat, it would be stupid to drive down this street..... now that i think about I may have just answered my own question

I was a soldier for 20 years and we did not always train on the army post. At times we had to travel to other places to train. It was normal for us to travel in military vehicles. At times, we traveled in the city. Perhaps this is what you are observing. Training is what we hope the military is doing. If that's all they are doing, then we are at peace.

there are other closures (from mcot):

"The border trade and transport at the Mae Sot-Myawaddy border has been suspended since Myanmar officials shut the border at the Thai-Myanmar Friendship Bridge crossing the Moei River and at over 20 cross-border trading ports since July 12."

and this is from burma news international:

"Yet another ban on Thai imports has come into effect with the closure of the cross border bridge between Shan State East's Tachilek and Thailand's Mae Sai on July 10, traders on the Burmese side said.

This comes in the wake of the closure of the cross border bridge of Mae Sot on July 8. So, now two out of the three Thai-Burma border cross bridges are coming in the way of imports from Thailand."

and

"Currently there is no indication as to whether the closure of Mae Sai Bridge is related to the Mae Sot protest. No further explanation has been offered by the Burmese authorities although some claim that the Mae Sai closure is to safeguard the elections by securing the areas."

All that was interesting.

We will all have to wait and see what happens next. :)

Warriors on the move. Training? Hunting?

Could be something. Could be nothing.
