The Thai tax code applies to all tax residents equally. There is not differentiation between Thais and non-Thais (DTAs notwithstanding.) -

Thai tax tangle: Expats warned of new rules on overseas income
Nobody knows what the precise rules will be, but your interpretation that pensions are no transfer of funds is hardly correct. They might however in any event be covered by a double taxation agreement depending on your home country and the entity from which you receive the pension. -

Since you seem to be getting posts critical of how these news items are reported, including what news items are the lead stories, perhaps the news team at AN might reconsider how the news is reported, and what news items are featured as the leads. Clearly, you have some readers raising concerns on how the news is presented and featured on AN. I, myself, wonder if anyone at AN reads what is being put out on AN. Doesn't the AN news team even notice that AI always refers to President Trump as 'former President Trump' in all the news stories AN puts out where Trump is featured? That error should have been caught and fixed months ago. Is there any discussion by AN staff as to what the lead stories will be each day? Should there be a broader list of 'recognised and reputable news sources' used? Perhaps something could be written into the AI programming banning the use of the word 'chaos' when the news story did not, actually, cause chaos. Ditto for using the word 'terrified' to describe the general populace when they, actually, were not terrified regarding what might have happened in a news event. (I didn't bother to read this 'runs amok' news story beyond the headline so perhaps these words were left out, but they are used way too frequently.) When someone posts an objection to a news story, it's likely not really 'trolling'. Rather, it's a legitimate objection, whether it is done humorously or seriously. AN should welcome these posts, not remove them. This post by me will, hopefully, be posted and not considered a 'troll post'. And, hopefully, I will not be suspended once again for voicing an opinion, and a different point of view, on AN.
