Dtac Unlimited Gprs?

Featured Replies

I just arrived with an unlocked IPhone. Which GPRS service is the best? I would prefer to keep my current number if at all possible.

Edit: I am looking for an unlimited data plan.

If you go to AIS just say you want the BB plan, i pay 650 a month, dont need to say you have a iphone BB plan is cheaper

I have a DTAC subscription and I can tell you their GPRS/EDGE is uselessly slow, at least in Pattaya. Unfortunately for business reasons I can't afford to change my number, and anyway I don't know if any of the alternatives are much better.

Yeah, AIS unlimited plan at 650B + VAT isn't bad. You're never going to get much speed over EDGE, but for mobile usage it's not too bad. Perfect if you're using a smart phone with always-on data.

19.45 download speed Edge AIS 96kbps upload 32kbps singapore server

19.47 download speed Edge AIS 118kbps upload 58kbps BKK server

My home Internet connection for the last few years has been DTAC EDGE and is fine for my purpose at home. It has been essentially 100% reliable for me. For large downloads/torrents I use my University network.

DTAC EDGE from Chiang Mai:

156kbps down 48kbs up to Singapore

175kbps down 80kpbs up to Bankgok

Can i avail of the bb plan even though i dont actually use a bb phone?

Is it unlimited or is it limited to 1GB of DATA?
