rgs2001uk
Simple Minds got their name from the above song. From back in the day when they were worth listening to and going to see, before Jim went all Hollywood and political thinking he was Bono.
rgs2001uk
Love the poster. Even more so, love this comment, from a previous poster. Jimmy Meadow nails it. "Before the Minds became pompous <deleted> they were actually a pretty decent and innovative band. Shame they took the U2 route to 'stadium rock' mediocrity. At least with songs like this one, The American and Love Song they left us with something before disappearing up their <deleted>."

StreetCowboy
The Great Leap Forward Meticulous preparation Ye'regaun'naewhair, Cowboy Thanks for that Imam, and do you think it is politically correct censorship that has eliminated the original KK Dest. Zulu... video from the archives?
StreetCowboy
To be fair, when I went to see the King, their support band knocked them into a cocked hat Same as the Chain, while we're on the Cultural Revolution Ye widnae kenarevalution ifitrangabelland kicked ye oot, Cowboy I see the full album has been censored - probably due to copyright infringement. But why is the official video of K K - Dest. Zulu. no longer available? Bizarre PC censorship? Have our liberal colleagues got carried away and started censoring videos that make young English lads of the '80s look like louts? These are strange days we're living in SC

bannork
What a song by Robert Johnson DB, one of his best- someone could play that in a pub today and it would sound just as fresh and alive. DM07
What else do I listen to (when I'm not studying the thai language) except KISS!! Here is a song which, when it was released, was panned by the critics in the US. I guess it was too disco at that time! But when it is played 'live', it still ROCKZ!! It's called; "I Was Made 4 Luvin' U" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ne9YwwchmNI&feature=related Enjoy (or NOT). As the thais here say "Up-2-U"!! Now anyway you measure it, that was a frickin' LONG wire-fly over the crowd. .. Show me ONE band that does a show like KISS and I'll switch bands tomorrow!! BUT no band in the entire world does a show like they do.... Deal with it, or take it to your grave! Been a lifelong Kiss- fan. "Love Gun" was the first album I ever bought, when I was 12. Unfortunately, they are really disapointing now. The last 2 albums where "good" enough, to denounce, I ever liked them!
bannork
I think rgs put this one up not so long ago but it's such a joyful number it deserves a repeat.
