Are they open or not?

August 13, Friday, declared a holiday, but some companies and schools remain open.

The mini branches in the shopping malls (TESCO LOTUS, CARREFOUR) will be open. But the head offices and the main branches are not.

AFAIK they will be open - banks can not close more than 3 days in a row without special authority and they are closed today.

i thought friday was an extra special holiday, so they could well be closed on friday as well, so like an above poster pointed out the shopping mall branches etc will be the only ones open

That indeed seems to be the case and it has been set as a special holiday - with the shopping center branches in larger cites it is no longer that much of a problem for most people in larger locations.

i cant think it will be a major problem just annoying having to sometimes go those small overcrowded shopping centre branches, goddammitt ah well monday just around the corner thank goodness
