Some great responses. Meet my Thai GF of 5 years in a bar in BKK. We were both out with groups of friends from work on the night and I couldn't keep my eyes off her once I'd seen her. I ended up ditching my workmates for her and her mates on the offer of joining them for dinner. My mates never held it against me as they've seen how happy we've been since. GF moved to Aus last year. Currently lookigng for work in Thailand again so we can move back else we're off home to the UK for a few years.

I met this very nice, dead straight Tuk-Tuk driver in Bangkok, and after buying me a few drinks ( out of his own pocket I might add), he took me to meet his family. He had quite a lot of sisters, and the front of his beautiful house was all glass, so I could see them sitting there. It brought tears to my eyes to see such a happy family. What could I do. So I took fourteen of them out for dinner. Now it just happened that Wednesday Afternoon, was a bit different from the others. Although she was a bit lazy ( the others would volunteer to walk all the way to the ATM to get some money for me) I could tell she was the one for me. So there you have it. A true love story Bambina.

So Bambina, how do u feel about this true love story :o Hard to accept right :D

This is totally amazing................... I think I actually only read of two guys who said that they met their girls working in a bar. And I know one of them is lying ! !

Just where do all the bar girls go to ?? Is it Alien Abductions ? ?

Oh and my wife was a hotel receptionist.

John, love the avatar. I was just telling someone yesterday that I saw Aberdeen beat real madrid 2-1 in the Cup winners cup in 1983, and beating Hamburg in the European Super cup at Pittodrie.

Where do all the bar-girls go?

You have obviously never been to Khon Kaen! The ones that won the jackpot have gone home with their husbands.

I guess the guys don't post on here.

I met my wife at a wedding, 5 years ago.

Come on guys, there's nothing wrong with meeting your girl in a bar. Happens all the time.

I was at Pittodrie but couldn't afford the trip to Gothenburg. Had a season Ticket for the seven best years of football ever seen. Can you believe Dougie Rougvie has two European Medals !!

No I have never been to Khon Kaen, the folks live between Khorat and Lopburi and I have only ever seen two other farang houses in that area.

My 1st trip to Thailand on business, about 8:00 PM on the 1st night I was escorted into a bar on Soi Cowboy by an associate (now a close friend). She sat next to me, as they do, had a few drinks and we said our good byes at 9:00 PM. I had business to attend to in another part of the country which would take 2 weeks.

To cut a long story short we formally married 4 months later. Four and a half years down the track we couldn’t be happier – life is bliss.:D We spend 10 months a year here and 2 in Aus. where she now has full residency. My Mum and Dad love her to pieces, she spends many hours in the kitchen with Mum learning to cook farang dishes the way I like. :o --- Glad my ex is not teaching her. :D

I don't think there are too many of us who get away with a relationship to the 1st Thai we met :D

I think I was the one lying. Although I did meet my wife in a bar, been married for nearly 16 years and have 3 kids. :o

15 years ago I met my wife in a Pattayan bar. 3 months later over a romantic candlelight meal I popped the question. She was so happy she squatted on the table and blew the candles out.

Shortly after, I was presented with a new born child...plus a discoloured pingpong ball marked '2', two dead frogs and a goldfish.
