Is Googlw Wasting Your Bandwidth Too?

Even with cookies and preferences saved, each time the browser is re opened and an image search is done - it goes into this new - Standard mode - of results and dumps fifty pages of images at one time to the browser. :annoyed:

I would rather see 30 results per page at a time, so I have to then to scroll down to the bottom of this huge page and request basic mode.

The option does not stick and must be repeated after re-opening the browser and it is a complete bandwidth hog. With my bandwidth problems already its the last thing I need.:bah:

Why can't we get basic as default? :realangry:

Why don't they answer the 1,000,000 requests and complaints about it? :o

Has Google gone completely MS on us? :shock1:

Half rant - half ? :wai:

Yes new Google image search is a horror, but there are enough wayt to bypass it and get the old style image search:

In France they still use the old system (but for how long ?) Google image search old style

On this website they have a permanent Google image search box that works with Google image search 'old style': Linkmi.net

Or use one of the other options explaned here especially for Firefox users who can easily bypass the new style.

Can't believe they screwed it up so badly. It was supposed to compete with Bing, now it's worse than ever.

So - use Bing for image search. Works much better. Does what you expect.

Scroll all the way to the bottom and click Switch to basic version as shown below.

Yea know about that - but If you close the browser you have to do it again and can't save it. Plus you have to wait for the page which is hanging on loading all the image place holders before you can start to scroll.

It is not just a bad idea it is sh-- coding as well. and plus plus the results when clicked on even from the basic version take you to the new lay out for results which is an equal pain in the a--. and it s---s won't use it again.
