American Tesol Institute (Ati) Question

Featured Replies

I hope this is the right section of the forum...

I was wondering if anyone has heard anything good or bad about ATI. I wanted to take courses and get a Foundations certification from ATI. I want to know if it would be useful in landing an English teaching job in Thailand.

Any feedback would be appreciated. Thank you.

There may be some posters who have personal experience with the school who can reply to your specific request. I will caution people to take care in posting. We do not allow 'naming and shaming' of schools.

In another thread there is a discussion about your nationality. This may take care of your visa issue. To teach in Thailand, you are not required by law to have a Bachelor's, but jobs might be limited to certain areas. It is equally hard for Thai's who are not properly qualified.

At the top of this forum there is a pinned topic on questions about qualifications which might be of interest to you.

Best of luck and keep us posted.

Thank you! About my visa issues... I don't think it'll be a problem. I have spoken with the Thai embassy in Washington DC and they said I am able to get a one year non-immigrant visa. So I won't NEED a job to live in Thailand, but I will be needing a job. I will not be a 27-year-old still living off my parents. Haha! Again, thanks for the help. I will check out the other topics.
