Real Player And Youtube

Featured Replies

I have just installed Real Player on a new computer. On the previous computer I downloaded YouTube videos without any problems, but this time it only downloads about 20 seconds of a clip, then the download completed message appears.

Has anyone else experienced this, or perhaps someone can advise whether I did something wrong with the settings when downloading? Incidentally, being a cheapo, it is the basic free Real Player.

Thanks as always for any assistance.

Uninstall real player, download and install VLC media player, get firefox, and download the addon "DownloadHelper" for firefox. LOL I honestly had to Google real player. I thought the company was dead.

Link for VLC media player http://www.videolan.org/

Link for Firefox http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/

Link for Firefox Addon "DownloadHelper" https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3006/

With DownloadHelper you can download any video and other media you want from almost any site on the net. If you need help just PM me.

Thanks for the quick reply. Actually I do use VLC for playback, just wanted Real Player for downloading, as it did the trick previously.
