Third Culture Kids (TCK) are children who spend a significant part of their developmental years outside the parents' home culture. For many, it means being immersed in one foreign culture for an extended time; for others it means moving country frequently throughout childhood.

Laura Perry's talk will cover traits common to TCKs, typical challenges they face, and how we as parents can meet their special needs. She’ll talk about how to give mobile children roots, how to help them with transitions, and enjoy the journey. She will also prepare for re-entry stress which TCKs will face at some point when either returning to or living for the first time in their passport country.
