A China village official has been suspended for touching the breasts of a transvestite. The incident occurred during a trip to Thailand. Liang Xiquan, a security official of Shenglong Village in Guangdong province, had travelled to Thailand in July together with his community unit chiefs. On July 26, the travel agency arranged for the tour group to have dinner and watch the Paper Dolls show on a cruise ship in Pattaya.

Liang and his group were excited by the show and took photographs with the cross-dressing performers. They also paid the 'girls' 20 Baht each to touch their breasts. In an interview with the Southern Metropolis Daily, Liang said that touching the transvestite's breasts was not a big deal. He said: "This was arranged by the tour agency and playing like that in Thailand is publicly accepted because the ladyboy is actually a man. "On the boat, they took off their clothes and let the customers touched their breasts. I felt it was not a big deal." Liang also said that he seen the act as a local customs and tradition that is relatively normal in Thailand.
